Carmen Taylor
Carmen Taylor is the recipient of the 2026 W.R. Dulin Memorial Scholarship in recognition of her academic achievement, leadership, and dedication to service.
She plans to attend the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where she will pursue a degree in Nursing with a clear passion for making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
Carmen is driven by a strong sense of purpose, sharing, “I want a career where my work has purpose. I want to make a tangible difference in someone’s life every day.”
Throughout her time in high school, Carmen has distinguished herself through her involvement and service. She has volunteered with initiatives such as community trash clean-up efforts and the Ronald McDonald House, demonstrating her commitment to giving back and supporting others in meaningful ways.
Carmen’s leadership and dedication have also been recognized through honors including Beta Club Member of the Month and being named a Homecoming Queen Candidate for Anchor Club. Known among her peers and teachers as “the student every teacher wants,” Carmen consistently exemplifies integrity, responsibility, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
With her passion for healthcare and heart for service, Carmen Taylor represents the very best of her generation and is on her way to making a lasting difference in her community.
