Why We're Expanding


Cancer touches every race and every age—impacting our families, friends, and neighbors. For 25 years, Scotland Cancer Treatment Center has provided world-class oncology care for patients across Scotland, Robeson, Marlboro, and surrounding counties.


Today, demand has outpaced space: our waiting room is overflowing, exam rooms are overcrowded, and patients are experiencing delays. We must expand to continue providing exceptional care close to home.


To make this possible, we have launched a $2 million Capital Campaign—an investment that will expand our Cancer Center, enhance comfort and privacy for patients, and ensure every individual receives timely, compassionate care in a healing environment.


  Expansion Priorities

  • Expand our Waiting Room

    Overcrowding threatens patient safety—especially for those with weakened immune systems. A larger, safer waiting area will reduce risk and stress.

  • Enhance the Chemo Room

    Add 10 treatment chairs, two private bays for contagious conditions, and a private dressing room to reduce wait times and increase dignity.

  • Add Accessible Facilities

    Introduce a nourishment area and a second restroom in the chemotherapy space, easing long treatment days and improving patient comfort.

  • Enable Onsite Lab Draws

    Patients currently walk to an offsite lab before treatment. A dedicated onsite space for phlebotomy will make care faster, safer and more comfortable.

  • Create Better Exam Rooms

    Five new spacious exam rooms plus two consult rooms for genetic testing, nutrition, and education—ensuring privacy for deeply personal conversations.

  • Upgrade Parking & Entrance

    Install an awning and add 24 parking spaces to improve access and safety—and create a private exit for patients leaving treatment.
