Scotland Memorial Foundation is now accepting external grant applications now through September 1, 2025.

Eligibility:

Scotland Memorial Foundation is dedicated to supporting organizations within our communities that align with our areas of focus. The Foundation only awards grants to established organizations. The Foundation does not make loans or grants to individuals, political organizations, and does not provide support for meetings or conferences. This application is not open to internal areas of Scotland Health.

Areas of Focus:

Scotland, Marlboro, and Western Robeson counties are the primary regions of interest. Mental health, wellness, fitness, health prevention, health education, nutrition, community services, and removing barriers to healthcare are our main focus areas. Funding for grants may not be available every year and amounts may vary. Typically, these are small grants under $50,000.

Areas not Funded:

The Foundation will not fund operating or administrative costs including salaries, non-health related initiatives, start-up costs for a business, organization, or program.

How to Apply:

Qualified organizations may fill out the below form online or download the PDF form and submit to scotlandfoundation@scotlandhealth.org or mail to 500 Lauchwood Drive, Laurinburg, NC 28352. In order to be considered, you must complete the form and submit required attachments in their entirety. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Review and Notification:

The grant application is open from mid-July until September 1. Board review will occur in October and notification of grant decisions will be sent to applicants within four weeks. Please do not contact the Foundation regarding status of your application.

Final Reports:

If your organization has been awarded a grant, the Foundation may require a final follow-up report. If your funds have not been fully utilized, the Foundation may request an explanation and plan to expend the funding.
