We measure our success in actual lives changed. These stories are a testament to the impact you can help make in providing quality health care in our communities.

Taniel's Story

The OB/Labor & Delivery Staff at Scotland Memorial went Above and Beyond. The staff heard my story and there was no judgement. My birthing experience was amazing, even with the panic attack I had before surgery.  The staff was very attentive. You don't find this everywhere, this was a one of a kind experience. I felt like I was being catered to constantly.  For my baby, I couldn't have had any one better caring for my child than the NICU staff at Scotland. From the hugs, visits and care, we were definitely blessed.

Kay's Story

I love donating to Scotland Memorial Foundation because "Giving" involves not just a gift of money but of time, resources and prayers.  Our Foundation supports the Scotland Health Care System offering quality healthcare to our rural communities including Scotland, Western Robeson,  and Marlboro Counties.

I know our donations, great and small, have an impact on ALL who receive them as The Scotland Memorial Foundation seeks to empower the donor and the receiver. I'm so excited to know OUR FOUNDATION DOES JUST THAT!!!

I was recently able to have insight to the workings of Scotland Health by being a patient myself.  I can now speak with Authority about the services rendered/received. I was treated with dignity by gifted Doctors, RN's, CNA's, PCA's and even Ms. Brenda in the Food Service Department personally gave me a call after I changed rooms. It gives me great pleasure to attest to the care and love given to me and other patients by the caregivers at SHCS.

Sandy's Story

Thank you for your organization and all that you do. I did not have health insurance over the last few years so the Scotland Memorial Foundation paid for me to have annual mammograms which I would not have had without your help. Last September I had my annual mammogram and there were some suspicious spots on the left breast. After a biopsy was completed, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer. Because the cancer was found early, I was able to have a mastectomy with no chemo or radiation.  Had I not had the mammogram I am sure that the result would not have been the same.

I am a testimony to the good that you are doing. I am now due for another mammogram  but I now have Medicare so you were a Godsend for me and my family before I was eligible for it.
